With its smaller 98 in² head, tighter 16×20 string pattern and slimmer beam, this model offers exceptional precision while preserving the signature Pure Aero spin and acceleration.
Built for aggressive, advanced players, the Pure Aero 98 makes it easier to swing fast when aiming for small targets or driving the ball with heavy pace and spin. A sub-325 swingweight gives the frame an explosive, connected feel from the baseline along with sharp, confident handling at the net. While it doesn’t provide the same easy power as the standard Pure Aero, it offers more than enough put-away potential to keep opponents under constant pressure.
For 2026, Babolat has re-engineered the shaft geometry to reduce air resistance, delivering a noticeably quicker and more dynamic response through the strike zone. This improved aerodynamics make it easier to accelerate the racket head, load the ball with spin, and recover or counter on stretched, defensive shots.
The frame also features the latest NF²-Tech dampening system, using strategically positioned flax fibres to filter vibration and produce a softer, more arm-friendly impact feel. As with the previous generation, the Pure Aero 98 retains FSI Spin Technology, combining Babolat’s proven Woofer system with dedicated Spin Grommets to increase string movement and dwell time for enhanced spin production and a more responsive feel on angled or off-centre contact.
